Ina-Marié's obituary
Ina-Marié Johnston unexpectedly joined our Lord Jesus Christ on August 1, 2024.
Born on August 15, 1985 to Anton and Diana Henning in Kempton Park, South Africa. She moved with her parents and two brothers to the United States of America in 1998 and resided in Greenwood, Indiana. They became citizens of the United States in September 2007.
Ina-Marié graduated from Greenwood High School in 2003. She attended Ball State University and earned a bachelor’s of fine arts in visual design. She worked as a graphic designer for Ball State University for over ten years.
Ina-Marié married her husband, Brad, in 2015 and they welcomed their daughter Addison Ina to the world in 2018. Most recently, Ina-Marié pursued her love of teaching and returned to school to complete her degree in Education. She was to start her first year of teaching this coming school year at Blue River Valley Elementary School in New Castle.
Ina-Marié was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Ina always displayed kindness and love to those around her. Family was very important to her and she had immense joy in being Addie’s mommy.
She will be remembered by her husband Brad, daughter Addison, parents Anton and Diana Henning, brothers AJ (Scott) and Werner (Emily), nephew Aiden, niece Iva and parent in-laws Barry and Bonnie Johnston.
Her death is preceded by her grandparents Oupa Chris, Ouma Ina, Oupa Tony, Ouma Dolly, Oupa Giel, Uncle Hendrik, Aunt Jomari and Cousin Christian.
