Before you sign up for Max, you might already have access.
Do you have any of the following?
HBO with your TV package
If you get HBO with your cable or satellite TV package, then you might have access to Max. To find out if your provider supports Max, go to max.com/provider and search for your provider, or go to Max providers.
HBOMax subscription
HBOMax subscribers with an active subscription have access to Max.
Open Max and then depending on how you subscribe to HBOMax, choose either Sign In or Connect Provider. For more info, go to HBOMax is now Max.
Former HBOMax subscription
You can sign in to Max using your HBOMax credentials and choose Renew Subscription or Connect Your Provider (if you recently resubscribed through a provider). For more info, go to Resubscribe to Max.
AT&T wireless or internet plan
The Max Ad-Free plan is included with these plans:
- Internet 1000, 2000, 5000
- Unlimited Elite
- Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Plus Enhanced
- Unlimited Choice, Unlimited Choice II, and Unlimited Enhanced
- Unlimited & More Premium (if you chose HBO as your premium option)
If you have one of these plans, you might need to activate Max. Here's how:
- Go to the myAT&T account page.
- Look for the Activate Max tile.
- Choose Activate, if asked.
Now, to start streaming Max:
- Install the Max app or go to max.com on your computer.
- Follow the Connect Your Provider steps. When you do this, choose AT&T as your provider and sign in to your AT&T account.
Once you connect your provider, you can sign in to Max on any supported device.
DIRECTV or DIRECTV STREAM
The Max Ad-Free plan is included with these TV packages:
- DIRECTV STREAM: PREMIER and MAX
- DIRECTV: PREMIER & LO MAXIMO
- U-verse TV: U400, U450, and U450 Latino
To start streaming Max:
- Install the Max app or go to max.com on your computer.
- Follow the Connect Your Provider steps. When you do this, choose DIRECTV as your provider. (After you choose DIRECTV as your provider, you'll see the AT&T sign-in page).
Once you connect your provider, you can sign in to Max on any supported device.

Cricket Wireless plan
The Max With Ads plan is included with the following $60 Cricket Wireless Unlimited plans:
- Unlimited Cricket More
- Unlimited Cricket Extra
- Unlimited Cricket Max
If you have one of these plans, do the following:
- Install the Max app or go to max.com on your computer.
- Follow the Connect Your Provider steps. When you do this, choose Cricket Wireless as your provider and sign in to your Cricket account.
Once you connect your provider, you can sign in to Max on any supported device.

Chegg subscription
The Max With Ads plan is included with the following Chegg subscriptions:
- Chegg Study
- Chegg Study Pack
If you have one of these subscriptions, here’s how to access Max:
- Follow Chegg's activate Max steps.
- Install the Max app or go to max.com on your computer.
Once you activate Max through Chegg, you can sign in to Max on any supported device.
DoorDash subscription
The Max With Ads plan is included with the DashPass annual subscription.
If you have a DashPass annual subscription, here’s how to access Max:
- Follow the DoorDash activate Max steps.
- Install the Max app or go to max.com on your computer.
Once you activate Max through DoorDash and create a Max account, you can sign in to the Max app on any supported device.
